NFBV's BELL Academy (link) (ages 4–12) offers a fun, hands-on summer program that strengthens Braille and other non-visual skills for blind and low-vision students who need extra practice beyond school. Through crafts, games, and field trips, kids also build independence and connect with blind and low-vision adult mentors.
The Super Summer Camp is a free, week-long program for students ages 8 through completion of 10th grade, offering activities like goalball, horseback riding, swimming, and independent living skills. Campers must be able to handle personal hygiene, move independently, benefit from activities, and be registered with DBVI Education Services.
Maryland School of the Blind Summer Programs (link) offer multiple camps and skill-focused sessions for blind/low-vision students—ranging from an overnight adventure camp and sports camp to tech bootcamps and a 4-week independent living/work experience program.
Camp Webber (link) is a free overnight sports camp in Chugiak, Alaska, for blind and visually impaired youth ages 8 and up. Campers try adapted sports, enjoy the outdoors, make new friends, and receive individualized instruction. Its mission is to empower youth with visual impairments to stay active in their schools and communities.
